Katie has a background as an investigative journalist. Her detective's eye and sharp insight to complicated situations allows her to better serve our clients in workers' comp and injury cases that boil down to the smallest of details. For years, she has always wanted to represent and protect people from the unfair treatment larger corporations typically force upon them. Being a workers' compensation attorney is a great fulfillment for her calling.
Attorney Weeks's Education & Occupation History
In 2001, Katie received her double major – political science and news-editorial journalism – from Drake University School of Journalism, located in Des Moines. She would move on to Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul to receive her law degree. While she was there, she successfully completed a rigorous judicial externship for the United States District Court, Southern District of California, Honorable Larry Alan Burns chambers.
She would later work with major law firms in San Diego, where she began her focus on workers' compensation and personal injury cases. From medical malpractice disputes and bad faith insurance claims to mass torts against negligent companies, she quickly became a well-respected member of the legal community. Upon moving to Arizona, she found membership to the Maricopa County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Arizona Women Lawyers Association.
