Understanding Lost Wages
When your workers' compensation case is accepted and opened, you are entitled to temporary compensation. You are paid based on your average monthly wage at the time of the injury. Under the statute, you receive 66 and two-thirds percent of your average monthly wage. Every year wages are capped, or limited, based on several factors including the cost of living.
At Fendon Law Firm, P.C., in Flagstaff, our experienced legal team can help ensure you receive proper temporary compensation. We are committed to protecting your rights at every stage of your case. We can review your lost wage status to determine if your wages were properly calculated.
If we feel an error occurred when calculating your lost wage amount, we can appeal. You have 90 days after your wage notice is issued to appeal the notice of average monthly wage. We can gather and coordinate appropriate financial documentation to help you get the lost wage rate raised to ensure you receive your entitled compensation. We also make sure dependent benefits are paid (if applicable).
