Workers’ Compensation Tip Of The Day

Published April 30, 2012 by Matt Fendon Law Group | Firm News

You cannot sue your employer if you are injured on the job unless you reject worker’s comp coverage prior to the injury, or if your employer fails to post notice that you had a right to reject coverage, or if you employer fails to purchase worker’s comp insurance, or if your employer or co-employee engages in an “act knowingly and purposely with the direct object of injuring another.” Other than these exceptions, you cannot sue your employer when you are injured on the job. Please let us know if you have any other questions or comments about this subject, or wrongful discharge or Social Security Disability.
