Matt Fendon Is Member Of The IWP Advisory Council To Promote Aid For Workers’ Comp Claimants
Our Phoenix workers’ compensation lawyer, Matt Fendon, is going on his second year as a member of the IWP Advisory Council. In celebration of his membership, Matt Fendon attended the 2014 IWP Advisory Council Weekend. He was able to meet other IWP council members during the meeting to discuss how to better help individuals filing workers’ compensation or personal injury claims.
The IWP, or Injured Workers Party, is an independent pharmacy service that supports those who have been injured by mailing prescriptions directly to the patient’s home. Costs of prescriptions are taken care of through the claims processing, which helps cut down costs for the injured individuals. IWP seeks to form a solid partnership between their company and attorneys by ascribing to the Continuity of Care program. This program is concerned with how best to manage the cost-effective care of a patient over the long term.
The program can further help patients through the following:
- Ensuring patient maintains consistent plan for treatment
- Providing emotional support
- Promoting continued communication between patient and health care provider
Collaborating with IWP allows lawyers to concentrate more on the client’s needs with regards to litigation and arguments on behalf of the client’s claim. Additionally, it reduces paperwork and lessens the lawyer’s need to correspond with insurance companies on a claim
