Employment Law tip of the Day - Equal Pay Act - this Federal law prohibits employers from paying workers of one sex at a wage rate different from that paid workers of the opposite sex for equal work. It applies only to sex discrimination. The exceptions to the rule are wage differentials per a seniority system, merit system, systems that measure earnings by quantity/quality of production, or for any other reason unrelated to sex. We do handle employment law cases. Please call our office for a consultation: 602-842-1133
