The Two Most Important Things To Do When Hurt On The Job
This is a subtitle for your new post
The majority of the people we speak with who have had their worker’s compensation claims denied haven’t done one or both of the following things: 1) filed a claim for worker’s compensation benefits in writing promptly after the person is hurt; 2) failed to seek prompt medical attention after being hurt on the job.
The majority of worker’s compensation cases are accepted in Arizona when the injured worker meets both of these requirements.
Getting prompt medical treatment may require a person to visit an urgent care facility or the emergency room. To file a claim for worker’s compensation benefits, the injured worker would need to contact the Industrial Commission of Arizona (602-542-4661, or http://www.ica.state.az.us/workersCompensation/index.html).
We’ll check in again soon with more tips on navigating the Arizona worker’s compensation system.
