Hi, I'm attorney Matt Fendon, and I'm going to go over some questions that you should ask before hiring an attorney that handles workers' comp cases here in Arizona. Number one, I want to know the experience. I want to know what percentage of their caseload is workers' comp, how long they've been doing this? Do they have board certification, so I have board certification, which means I essentially had to take an extra bar, just for workers' comp and I had to have a certain number of cases that went through the system, through the appellate courts, and so on and so forth, to get that certification. So only 2% of the attorneys throughout the state are board-certified in their specific area of practice. So it's a big deal to have board certification. So if somebody is board certified and workers' comp, they definitely know what they're doing for sure. I'd also want to know how their office runs essentially, do they have a policy for return calls? Do they have a policy for return emails? we at Matt Fendon Law Group have a 24-hour call back rule, which means if you email us, if you call us, we're going to get back to you within 24 hours and we stand firm on that.
